Saint Patrick's Day drew near and the kids were super excited about catching a leprechaun this year. It seems like it was all they could talk about...catching a leprechaun, keeping all his gold, and how he would be their friend and live in their rooms. (I know, not traditional leprechaun lore, but they have active imaginations. :)
We spent Sunday morning creating our leprechaun traps. They weren't quite as intricate as last year, but we were on a deadline.

Crazy bedhead going on here... |
Unfortunately, even their best efforts at creating leprechaun traps failed to actually catch a leprechaun. The kids have determined that we have a regular family leprechaun that comes to our home each Saint Patrick's Day because he seems to leave the same trail of footprints, a few gold coins, and a box of Lucky Charms after evading their traps. We think we like the little guy. He isn't one of those chaos-causing green men. Thank goodness!

Saint Patrick's Day party with friends from the ward. Sister Hunt does an awesome job planning "preschool" parties for the holidays! |
