Life Among the Stars: Goodbye, Uncle Riley!!

It was a good time to move close to my family with Riley graduating and going on a mission this year! We were able to be there for his farewell, his setting apart, and seeing him off on the plane. We drove to Fort Collins to participate in the setting apart and for the kids and Dave to tell Riley goodbye. Sad day!

Crazy to think Emma will be 8 and baptized by the time Riley gets home.

Dave took the kids home and I stayed in Fort Collins to soak up the last few hours we had with Riley and go to the airport to see him off. Grandpa and Grandma were hard at work getting everything to fit in Riley's suitcases.

EARLY morning at the airport. I think we were up at 2 and had to be to the airport by 4:00 or something like that. All I know is it was way too early!

They wouldn't let us go through security with him, so we enjoyed awhile longer together in the main area before he had to go.

I think the nerves are getting to him! :) That, or fatigue.

I have no make up on and I haven't had any sleep, but I still had to document that I was here!

This was on the way to the security line. Not Mexico, but it made us think of it.

Before I add in the last pictures of Riley leaving, I wanted to add some from when he went through the temple since I never put them on the blog earlier. Dave and I were lucky enough to be able to go with him and my parents. It was a great experience! Riley and my dad served as temple workers during the months he waited to depart. Riley loved being a temple worker!
